PROCEDURES Outpatient Care Procedures Since not all panel clinics have chosen to install the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) terminal on their premises, procedures in obtaining treatment will differ depending whether or not the clinic has installed the EDC terminal. Generally, swipe card capability will be available at clinic equipped with EDCs. However, this capability will not be available at clinics that have chosen not to install the terminal. The procedures are as follows:
Inpatient Care Procedures Procedures for gaining admission to a panel hospital may vary. This is because the client (or insurer) may have attached certain conditions before admission can be authorised. For example, a Referral Letter from a GP may be required before the patient can be admitted to a hospital. Similarly, there may be operative conditions that preclude certain dignoses. Further, the client may have also specified that a specific grade of employees can be admitted only at specific hospitals. However, for illustrative purposes, we have included a standard admission procedure applicable to -Medic's panel of private hospitals. This is as follows:
